Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026This policy explains what information mukherjeesuman.com (the "Site") collects, why, and the choices you have. The Site is a personal portfolio run by Suman Mukherjee.
What is collected
Analytics (only with your consent where required). Google Analytics 4 records anonymous usage: pages viewed, time on page, device and browser type, approximate location and referring site. IP anonymisation is on. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are not tracked until they allow it in the banner.
Interaction events. If analytics is allowed, the Site also records which features are used (for example opening the Jupiter assistant, running the Agent Lab, playing a talk, or sending the contact form) so the author can see what is useful. Questions typed into Jupiter are recorded in shortened form (first 80 characters) to improve its answers. Please don't type personal or confidential information into it.
What you send. If you use the contact form, your name, email, chosen focus and message are delivered by email to Suman.
The Site does not use advertising cookies, does not sell data and does not build profiles for marketing.

Cookies and local storage
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) only when analytics is allowed. The Site stores your consent choice in your browser's local storage under sm-consent. You can change your choice at any time: .
The Jupiter assistant
Jupiter runs entirely in your browser from pre-written answers. It is not connected to an AI model or any external service, and your messages are not sent anywhere except the shortened analytics event described above.
How long data is kept
Analytics data is kept for the Google Analytics retention period configured for the property (14 months or less). Contact-form emails are kept only as long as needed to reply and follow up.
Your rights
- Ask what information is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted.
- Withdraw analytics consent at any time using the link above.
- Block cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Security
The Site is served only over HTTPS with strict security headers (Content Security Policy, HSTS, frame and MIME protections). To report a security issue, see security.txt.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
